LEAD: The McDonnell Douglas Corporation said two Spanish airlines had converted a total of 12 options on MD-80 aircraft into firm orders. Iberia S.A., Spain's national airline, which holds 24 options on MD-80's, converted seven of them into orders for MD-87's. Aviacion y Comercio S.A., the national domestic airline, converted five MD-80 options to orders for MD-88's.
The McDonnell Douglas Corporation said two Spanish airlines had converted a total of 12 options on MD-80 aircraft into firm orders. Iberia S.A., Spain's national airline, which holds 24 options on MD-80's, converted seven of them into orders for MD-87's. Aviacion y Comercio S.A., the national domestic airline, converted five MD-80 options to orders for MD-88's. The MD-80 aircraft have an average delivery price of $30.7 million, McDonnell Douglas said. Delivery of the Iberia aircraft will begin in June 1991, with delivery to Aviacion beginning two months later.
